End of Life
ForAllSecure is committed to providing the highest quality, supportable products to our customers. Due to rapidly changing technologies, the company will release new products and integrations, and eventually retire older products. This document outlines our End of Life (EOL) Policy so that our customers and partners have clarity on our product release and support cycles and how these relate to software as well as hardware compatibility for hardware platforms on our Hardware Compatibility List or Supported Appliances. This EOL Policy only pertains to customers with an active, valid support contract (“Support”).
For software products covered by a support contract maintained continuously through the end of life process, customers will receive technical support, bugfixes, and workarounds. When a new major version is released, designated by an incremented major version number in a software release number, previous major versions reach the end of development milestone and no longer receive new features. Although software that has reached the end of development milestone no longer receives new features, customers with the appropriate support contract are eligible to receive newer software versions. Once software reaches the end of development milestone, some issues may require that customers upgrade to a later version.
The first end of life milestone for hardware products is an end of life announcement, generally made 6 months before the product reaches end of sale status. The end of life announcement will identify the end of sale date, and may include replacement products. Orders for hardware products will be accepted through the end of sale date. Hardware products will typically be supported for 5 years after the end of sale date, though the product may need to be replaced to be repaired.
